Ices – the exhibition of small Quilt Patchwork Group
You still have a few days to visit the exhibition “Ices”, it is open until Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Organized by the Patchwork Group on the occasion of the International Year for the Conservation of Ices at the Library of Ispra, it is dedicated to small themed quilts, made by the group itself.
A quilt is a blanket made up of three layers: a decorative top fabric, an intermediate layer of padding and a supporting bottom fabric. The technique to create a quilt is called quilting and consists in sewing together these three layers, often using the patchwork technique, which involves joining different pieces of fabric.
