The cycle path is a ring that surrounds Lake Varese, develops on asphalt, concrete and, for a short stretch, on well-beaten and pedaled earth. It is definitely a unique and fascinating equipped track for its suggestive views and never demanding, suitable for everyone both on foot and by bike.

Along the way you will meet places worthy of a stop: in Azzate you can admire the small sanctuary of the Madonna del Lago. In Bodio, it is possible to leave the track for a short excursion to Cazzago Brabbia where some ice houses are still perfectly preserved: they are the eighteenth century circulars curious buildings in which the winter ice was crammed so that, inside, the rigid temperatures necessary to preserve the fish caught in the lake throughout the year were kept constant.

In Biandronno it is possible to interrupt the journey for a visit by boat to the small Virginia Island, where some of the most important finds from the prehistoric period from all over Europe took place, collected, in part, in the small archaeological museum of the island.
