A GREAT SAILING SEASON ON LAKE MAGGIORE: CVI TAKES CENTER STAGE WITH VERBANO SAILING
The Circolo della Vela Ispra (CVI) is ready for an exciting season filled with sailing events and top-level regattas, all part of the Verbano Sailing project, a collaboration among seven sailing clubs on Lake Maggiore, officially presented at the Municipality of Ispra.
The season kicks off on Sunday, June 14, with the Dino Lobba Memorial, a historic event included in the Palio dei Rioni of the Municipality of Ispra. This special day celebrates sailing, tradition, and the memory of a person who left a lasting mark on the history of our club. The regatta brings together sailors, enthusiasts, and the local community for one of the most heartfelt events of the season.
The sailing calendar will then continue with a series of exciting events:
- June 21 – Supercruise, Round 1 of the CVI Club Championship 2026 and Dart Class Zonal Regatta
- June 27 – 41st Mazzarditi Route Regatta and Luciano Brovelli Sailing Rally
- July 19 – 43rd Open Dinghy Regatta – Giacomo Taravella Memorial, Act 4 of the Verbano Dinghy Championship and Round 2 of the CVI Club Championship
- August 2 – Fast Sailing, Rounds 3 and 4 of the CVI Club Championship
- September 5–6 – Contender Class National Championship Regatta, the highlight of the season, featuring sailors from all over Italy
- September 12 – Rescheduled Act 1 of the Verbano One-Design Championship, Surprise and Meteor Classes
- October 11 – Fast Sailing, Rounds 5 and 6 of the CVI Club Championship
Please see you the Municipal Ordinance requiring “Cautious Navigation” in the waters affected by the events. All lake users are kindly requested to pay close attention and cooperate to ensure the safe and successful running of the regattas.
Fair winds to all competitors, members, sailing enthusiasts, and everyone who will follow the events organized by the Circolo della Vela Ispra throughout this exciting sailing season!
