THE GEOLOGY OF THE PLIS GOLFO DELLA QUASSA, THE NATURAL MONUMENT OF SASSO CAVALLAZZO
Given the large turnout and the success of the walk held on Sunday, June 7, the organizers decided to repeat the same excursion on Sunday, June 14, returning to walk along the Quassa Park, towards the monumental Sasso Cavallazzo, to discover one of the most fascinating areas of Lake Maggiore from a historical and naturalistic point of view.
This is a free walk in the heart of nature, organized by the Campo dei Fiori Park, thanks to funds from the municipalities of the Golfo della Quassa Park.
On Sunday 14 June, citizens, families, nature enthusiasts and the curious are invited to participate
at the replica of the third free nature excursion to discover the Gulf of Quassa, to explore and learn about the conformation and geology of the PLIS, with particular attention to the Sasso Cavallazzo natural monument, accompanied by the expert environmental guide AIGAE, guide of the Campo dei Fiori Park and geologist Dr. Donatella Reggiori.
Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the cemetery parking lot on Via Milano Ispra, near the Castelbarco Mausoleum.

The activity is free and open to everyone, adults, children and families.
The excursion departs at approximately 9:15 am, with return expected by 1:00 pm.
Walking trail, paved road, dirt road.
Comfortable clothing and suitable shoes are recommended.

ON THE SAME DAY AS SUNDAY, JUNE 14TH, THE BIKE TOUR IN THE PLIS GOLFO DELLA QUASSA WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN ISPRA AND RANCO, ALONG THE QUASSA PARK. DOWNLOAD THE POSTER IN THE GALLERY.
It will be a bike excursion to discover the beauty of the Golfo della Quassa Park, among nature, landscapes and curiosities.
You will pedal with the slow and pleasant pace of the bike, being surprised by suggestive glimpses and the pleasure of sharing the route.
The experience is designed for those who want to know this corner of territory from a different perspective.
The tour is free and created in collaboration with the Campo dei Fiori Park
The meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the cemetery parking lot on Via Milano Ispra, near the Castelbarco Mausoleum, with return at approximately 1:00 p.m.
